Chris Kayser is the Founder, President and CEO of Cybercrime Analytics Inc., a Calgary-based cybercrime consulting and research company. His 25+ years in the computer field, 15 years in the financial services industry, plus research and work in cybercrime investigation and cybersecurity continue to make him a sought after consultant, researcher and presenter.
As cybercrime rates continued to escalate, he observed how cybercriminals were utilizing advanced computer technology to attack individuals, organizations, and governments. Due to the lack of qualified cybercriminologists to counter the rapid rise in cybercrime, Chris commenced an intensive study program to address these issues. He is an editorial review board member of the CMT's Journal of Technical Analysis (JOTA).
Chris has co-authored two research papers in the field of cybercriminology, and has recently introduced a new theory - RESCAT (Required Elements of a Social Engineered Cyber Attack Theory), explaining the importance of social engineering as it relates to cybercrime. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Cybersecurity Intelligence and Cybercrime.
He is the author of two books - "How to Master an Online Degree – A Guide to Success" that is recommended reading for a number of university courses (published Jan/2017), and Cybercrime through Social Engeering - The New Global Crisis" (published Feb/2020).
Chris has also been involved in music for the majority of his life, having played a number of instruments, and written numerous songs.
